Sample builds

Each page shows the lot problem, the plan and the build. These are sample pages with stock photos; your real builds, with progress photos, go here.

Sample build Ballard · Detached · The Alley Studio

An alley studio for a grown son

A narrow lot with an alley at the back. The cottage sits on the alley line, the sewer runs to the alley, and the main yard stays a yard.

Sample build Wedgwood · Attached · The Parent Suite

Built onto the back of the house with its own door. No steps from the driveway, a curbless shower and a window onto the garden.

Sample build Columbia City · Conversion · The Garage Turn

The old slab was sound, so we kept it. New walls, insulation, windows and a kitchen inside the same footprint.

Sample build Greenwood · Detached · The Two-Up

Living downstairs, two bedrooms upstairs. The family uses it for a daughter and her partner, and later, maybe, for themselves.

Start with the lot.
